Type of device* : Graphic Tablet
Brand and version of the device: XP Pen Artist 13.3 Pro (old version)
System** : Windows 10
I’m having a problem between my XP Pen 13.3 Pro tablet (old version) and Krita.
Krita does not recognize the tablet’s shortcut buttons or zoom wheel. Krita also doesn’t recognize pen buttons.
I have already installed the latest version of Krita. The latest version of the XPPEN driver.
I have already restarted Windows, the desktop and nothing works.
Until two days ago everything was working normally. I just turned on my computer today and nothing worked.
Can anyone here help me with this please?
It is not seldom that Windows updates damage your tablet driver, and it is good that you already actualized your driver.
I guess that you have not created a (new?) profile for Krita in your tablet driver, which you should do in case that you use other programs with your tablet too. If you only use your tablet with Krita, then it is not urgently necessary.
The next important thing is to have your tablet and Krita using the same driver API, an interface which lets them communicate. Therefore, you have to disable the use of Windows Ink in your driver, it is usually found together with the pen settings, please disable Windows Ink there.
Then you need to check in Krita that WinTab is activated, you will find it via the menu ‘‘Settings’’ >> ‘‘Configure Krita’’ >> ‘‘Tablet Settings’’ where you have to enable ‘‘WinTab’’, then confirm that setting with the OK-Button in the lower right corner of that dialog and restart Krita.
Now to your zoom and pen buttons, these have to match in Krita and your driver. Please check if the pen buttons work when you enable or disable the setting Use mouse events for right- and middle- clicks (workaround for convertible devices, needs restart) that you can find in my screenshot below the red 2. and then confirm that setting with the OK-Button in the lower right corner of that dialog and restart Krita each time you change a setting there.
For your tablet buttons, you have to compare the settings in your driver with those of Krita, and these settings ARE NOT FOUND on your last screenshot, it must be a page like this from the manual I can currently download for your tablet from XP-PEN (seems quite old):
There must be this page, or a page that is in function similar to this page, in your driver, there you have to assign CTRL + Z for Undo, like in your screenshot from Krita, to the button you want to use for it, and that must be done for every button, it has to match the settings it has in Krita, it does not help that it is only shown on your last screenshot, you have to set this up first.

Well… I don’t know if it was exactly that, or a miracle, but I managed to get it working again by running the XP Pen Pentablet as administrator.
There was still the bug with the zoom wheel, which only worked by zooming out. I went into Krita’s shortcut settings and saw that to zoom in the option was “Ctrl+=”. I manually changed it to “Ctrl++” and the Zoom wheel started working normally again.
I really appreciate the help from @Michelist@Deevad and @lunarkreatures: Thanks guys, this community and you guys are awesome!!!
