I would really like it if krita had some type of 3d modelling system, one similar to clip studio paint. Id really hope for krita to implement this because this is the only thing making me hesitant for me to go full on in krita because this is a tool that makes it easier to make perspective drawings and background. Is there any chance krita will add this in the future?
Hello @Artsikye and welcome to the forum
You might be interested in this plugin that has been developed by a user here:
Plugin: Blender Layer - Live 3d View in Krita
Ok thank you!
I agree that this feature would be very beneficial to artists out there. Especially considering a lot of the really good programs out there like sketchup or posemyart, even Magic and Easy Poser all have paywalls for some of the models you really need, then there is the matter of exporting it into a png to put in the software. I believe this idea would save artists more time creating than having to jump between programs. to get the exact pose and FOV. Plus scaling the model to fit.
The addition of a Blender Layer plug in is a good idea as well, but I am worried for systems that decide to be a potato when you have more than 2 programs open. Maybe in the future Blender Staff and Devs or even a person out here will make some code to allow this feature to come to life. Because I think a native built 3D model program in Krita like the CSP Models, would wow even the pickiest of artist to try this program out.
I would love this feature i work primary in blender theres a plugin forr krita but only forr windows im on a Mac. i render my puppet as a png and then draw over if theres a way to open up a .blend with armature so you can pose your model would be fantastic addition…
I thought Blender Layer was platform-agnostic. There are no native files in the plugin, so it should work on Mac too. Unless I’m missing something?
ok dude ill try it, thanks
