Hi all. I just spent a few hours making what I would say are some improvements on the good work done on the Real Copic Markers Bundle here: Realistic Copic marker like brushes .
In my opinion, multiply blend node marker on a multiply Layer are requirements for accurate Alcohol marker effects. also opacity on a wet marker has little to do with pressure in real life and this brush reflects that. Adjusting opacity should only be done by selecting lighter colors. repeated strokes will darken the pigment.
I ended up making quite a few changes:
Multiply!
Bias towards front of nib with the chisel marker.
Speed modifier on opacity
increased opaqueness overall.
Masked brush changes and Burn blend mode
rotation changes.
scaling with pen tilt was adjusted.
feel free to try these out and change them as you would like to. Bullet and Chisel shape included below:
i like these, good with grayscale. i get carried away playing with blend modes a little.
multiply is nice but might be too dark sometimes. trying alpha darken and a clone set to color hsi/ or some saturation. i played around and found that Allanon blend mode on brush also works, clone layer with multiply at like 15%.
Hello, I have been trying your brush and I really like it. What I personally think is that the way to mix could be another way. I’m referring more to the part when, for example, you try to make a gradation by squeezing the down less. I also think the cumulative paint mode for this brush is a must, and I don’t know why it can’t be modified in the brush you shared. So I made a new version with the changes I told you and touching some parameters.
