Welcome to the first monthly Featured Artwork Submissions Thread.
This is the where Krita-Artists members nominate artwork to appear in the featured row.
How it works
Each month, around the 15th, we’ll post a submission thread. K-A members can make one submission in each monthly thread. Once the deadline for submissions has passed, the poll will open for voting. The four images receiving the most votes will be inducted into the featured artwork row. Winning images will be entered into the Best of Krita-Artists competition at the end of the year.
Best of Krita-Artists – 2024
In January 2025, we will publish a post containing all the winning entries from the previous year. K-A member voting will determine the top ten and these finalists will be awarded a “Best of Krita-Artists – 2024” badge.
How to Submit a Nomination for Monthly Featured Artwork
You’re going to copy and paste two things into a new reply in the monthly submission thread:
The URL of the post containing the image for nomination.
The image you wish to nominate (right-click on the image, select “copy image” and paste the image).
Click the reply button to complete your submission.
Guidelines
Forum members may make one nomination per month.
You may not nominate your own work.
All artwork published in the Artwork:Finished Artwork category is eligible. The only exception is artwork that is already featured (look for the “featured” tag next to the post title).
A poll will be created containing all the nominations. Members may vote for up to four images.
The top four images by poll results will be added to the featured row in the gallery.
The featured artwork nomination process is brought to you by Krita-Artists’ Admins and Moderators. We welcome feedback and suggestions. To submit feedback, please create a new topic in the Site Feedback category.
I decided to go with this one because of the combination of design iteration, along with the execution of the final image; composition, energy, and the rendering - the lighting and materials.
