Each month, around the 15th, we’ll post a nominations thread. Krita-Artists members can make one submission in each monthly thread. This nominations thread will be open for submissions until 2024-10-11T16:00:00Z.
Everyone is welcome to vote when the poll is published. The five images receiving the most votes will be inducted into the featured artwork row. Winning images will also be entered into the Best of Krita-Artists – 2024 competition at the end of the year.
Best of Krita-Artists – 2024
In January 2025, we will publish a post containing all the winning entries from the previous year. K-A member voting will determine the top ten and these finalists will be awarded a “Best of Krita-Artists – 2024” badge.
How to Submit a Nomination for Monthly Featured Artwork
Tag the artist using their @ name, insert a link to the full-size image and then add a link to the original post. You may want to open 2 tabs in your browser as you will need to refer to the original post twice.

Open a new reply in this thread and type the @ name of the artist you are nominating.
Go to the artist’s post and click on the image. When the image appears on your screen, right click and copy or save the image link (image address).
Return to the nomination post and press hyperlink or ctrl+k. Paste the URL (optional title is not necessary). Once the link markdown is inserted into the post, add a single ! (exclamation mark) before the [ (the opening square bracket) of the link. It will look something like this: 
Return to the artist’s post and copy the URL. Paste this URL into your nomination post.
Save/publish the post.

All artwork published in the Artwork:Finished Artwork category is eligible. The only exception is artwork that is already featured (look for the “featured” tag next to the post title).

So impressed by those works. I didn’t see any of those until posted here!
Not nominating for now: I already have a nominee in mind BUT she’s already featured, and maybe (most likely) someone else nominates her so I can nominate yet another !
I’ve scoured the artwork posted over the last month and ended up with a very long list of worthy nominations. In spite of that, I felt compelled to go back to my shortlist for last month because I really liked this piece by Montie, and I feel like it deserved more attention. In fact - I didn’t notice it myself until I went looking for candidates for nomination last month.
I don’t think it jumps out as a thumbnail, but on closer inspection I’m excited by how nice the drawing is. The pose, foreshortening, energy and line weights are all really nicely handled. The rendering is also very well done for the style - including the colouring of the lineart.
I feel frustrated again having to pass on so many other worthy pieces - even more so as I missed a month. I wish we could nominate more than one!
It’s time to vote on the featured artwork nominations for September-October 2024. This poll will be open until 2024-10-14T16:00:00Z. Once the poll closes, the top 5 images will be added to the featured artwork gallery.
Because there are four images with the same score, the moderators will break the tie to determine which two images will join the top three on the featured images banner.
