Description of the issue (you can include screenshots): Heeey kritadevs and users! <3 Im new to the forum and i would like to know how i put several images together in one image. Like a square 4 images, or 5 images like a pyramid. Anyone knows how more then please tell me here
Please keep the topic title as short and on the point as possible and don’t put an entire paragraph in there, I changed it this time. I also moved you topic to another category since your question doesn’t have anything to do with input devices. Keep that in mind when creating new topics otherwise people may not find it or don’t bother reading it.
Regarding your question, the easiest way to do it is to add every image as a separate layer and then arange them them with the move tool, the transform tool lets you resize the layers (images). If you’re looking to arrange images in certain ways in an automatic fashion, then your out of luck, Krita can’t do this on it’s own, as far as I know.
@Takiro’s suggestion is the simplest method and the easiest to undersŧand as well as being flexible.
If you want to do that sort of thing often and in a repeatable way, you can make .kra files that ‘operate’ on images to scale and move them in various ways.
I did a simple picture grid arrangement using that technique and it could be adapted for a variety of arrangements.
Here is an explanation topic with a download link for some template .kra files:
However, if you’re a beginner with krita and with image processing applications, I would not be able to explain it to you because it uses a variety of techniques and tools, each of which is quite complicated.
By all means try it but don’t be surprised if it seems confusing.
Its hard for my eyes to see the UI first time always when i use new software or websites. I totally understand and its compassionate you moved the topic.
Ill try what you say allthough i dont fully understand atm, time will tell and if im stuck after several attempts ill be back. You say “automatic fashion” aha you mean like from start? Well if manuell with move tool works to get the funny picture right its perfect for me. Its 4,5 images though so hope its able to fit it so the data and the humour is possible to be absorbed
@AhabGreybeard thaks alot Ahab. Ill certainly look into it. I love krita as well as Okular.
A little tip that I always use myself when something is not clear to me is to press the F1 key to call Krita’s manual, which has often helped me out of trouble with its search function.
But current released version (0.6.0a) is still in early testing phase, not compatible with Krita 5, and buggy for Windows users
Next release (0.7.0b) currently under development fix all of these problem, but is not released yet (but possible to use as all fixed things are already available on github repository)
