Introduce yourself! 🎙️

Hello everyone.
My name is Iñigo and I’ve been using Krita for a month or so and I’ve already published a few doodles. I am an architect and in my leisure time I like to make quick sketches of historical buildings but I had never drawn by hand on a computer apart from technical building drawings. I think that drawing on paper will forever last but drawing on a computer is also very rewarding and fun, although like everything, it takes a lot of time to know and master all the tools like those provided by Krita.
See you in this forum.

Hello, My name is Greg. I’ve primarily used writing as my creative vehicle for most of my life (I’m 56). Now, that I’m retired, I’ve been learning visual arts. I am an introvert and due to a medical condition I am practically a recluse.

Krita is a wonderful piece of software that I use as my digital art goto. As a relatively new painter, I’ve been urged to join a community. As I’m reclusive I hope to join this one. Thank you for reading this.

Hi Greg and welcome to the forum!

I suspect you won’t be the only recluse here, and even if you were, it wouldn’t matter, this is about art and Krita, not about how someone dresses, what they are and what kind of life they lead!
If you have any questions about Krita and art, you are in good hands here, just search for the right category and ask.

I wish you a Happy New Year.

My name is Roger, not sineater, and I live a short drive from Lake Tahoe. I have done sketching for as long as I can remember. I’m retired from Coaching and teaching and enjoy the busy life of a grandparent and dad. I have never thought of myself as an artist but rather a hobbyist. I feel more comfortable thinking I am sort of a coloring book artist. I’m an eclectic music and art lover and my artistic inspirations for a bit have been Anton Semonov and Alexey Egorov. I found this forum when I started using Krita in 2020 and it was the first art software I felt comfortable with. I was thrilled with the ability to show my scribbles to others and I am very grateful for all the support and kind comments from a friendly crowd. My sincere gratitude to our community of moderators and artists.

I always get a kick out of pictures of peoples workspace since many people, like me, have a stereo that would blow up the room or house.

Hi all, my name’s Daniel

I like creating a few things, art probably being my favorite. I’m self taught (to the degree one can be) and I’ve been using Krita for maybe 5 years now when I first started getting into art more seriously. It’s also been a godsend tool for a lot of image processing stuff. Thank you to all those who have and continue to contribute!

Personally I like drawing colourless manga and comic style art, but occasionally I do an odd digital painting. I wouldn’t say I’m a hobbyist cus I have explicit aims with art and hope to achieve certain things someday, but I also don’t go out of my way to make money much with it so I’m not a professional either. Not yet anyway

My favorite fruit are kiwis.

Have a good day!

Hi all. I’m Hiroki from Kanagawa, Japan. Actually, I’ll be working as a software engineer this April, and drawing which I started a few years ago is just a hobby

I’ve drawn my likes a few times, but in fact, drawing is somewhat challenging for me! So, I’m currently trying to improve my skills by reproducing somebody’s pictures.

As a programmer, I wish I could contribute to Krita by writing code, but C++ is also, really difficult for me… So, as a first step, I’m translating UIs and documents into Japanese.

Thanks. Happy drawing!

Hello and welcome @toku_san

Are you working with the krita translations team?
If not then @raghukamath would be able to give you information about them.

Well, not the Krita one, but I sent translations via Japan KDE Users’ Group (日本 KDE ユーザ会). Some of them have already been applied to Krita 5.2.2, and I’m very happy with it.

My name is Rivki , I hope you’re all doing well!
I gave Krita a try yesterday and it’s great, even though I am not much of an artist.
As an open source enthusiastic I hope to contribute to this program soon.
Nice to meet you and have a good one :smiley_cat:
