Welcome!
Hello everyone, my name is Nohara. I was an IT student, had to resign from my uni because certain medical condition. I start drawing because my doctor said I need to pick up a hobby so I just don’t stare into wall in my room and be even more depressed. That was years ago. After I am able to keep my mind in check and join back society I start getting even more serious learning visual art especially illustration.
I start using Krita around 2019. Back then I was gathering and piecing together my own lesson materials from internet and convinced that I need to stick to one drawing software that is not expensive. That is why I am really thankful to Krita development team and its supporters for creating and maintaining this software as a genuinely good contender for drawing software and is free.
Sincerely thank you very much.
Good for you! Art Heals!
I’ve been here for a while, and I haven’t introduced myself
Hello, my name is Snow Sakura, and I’m new to Krita XD
I’m from China, I started drawing in junior high school, I first heard about krita from bilibili’s Azazel3, but it was only officially in November this year (mainly on Krita Manual I didn’t see
) to use krita to draw some small graffiti and character designs (but some illustration drafts choose to draw in csp), and I am currently considering restoring the brushes on other software to krita as much as possible ( It’s a bit tiring for me though)
I don’t speak English well, I use Bing translator to translate English
I’m currently drawing Adobe and Autodesk software and their own stories (?), as well as anthropomorphic or semi-anthropomorphic apps of some software I’ve used
Hello Sakura Snow, Welcome to krita artists I am glad to know about you.
Me too, nice to meet you
Seriously, I really admire how patient you are to answer other people’s questions
Hello everyone or as we say here in Wales, Smae! I love this site, it’s really a lovely place to soothe wounds after trying to sell work in a variety of places, both a real gallery and a famous print-on-demand marketplace.
I’ve been an artist all my life. As a mature student I got a BA (Hons) Design Ceramics degree. Due to chronic illness have only been trying to sell my work in the last month and I’ve found the process somewhat soul-destroying.
Members here are so kind and helpful, reminding me the important thing is to enjoy making art. I wish I could buy you all a drink. Take care, everybody, wherever you are in the world. Wishing you all health, happiness and prosperity in 2023.
My turn
Hello, Skyz here! I chose this username cause I love the color blue and enjoy staring into the sky while daydreaming for hours
I joined this forum since Krita is a really awesome free and open source software, I really hope they refine the UI of Krita for the Android Version.
And I wanted to share the drawings I made on Krita here.
I like drawing as a hobby and really hope to get better at figure drawing and drawing fundamentals in general
I wish to draw and ink in the Marvel and DC comic book Style (not exactly but sort of like them)
P.S I may not be seen around much since I have social anxiety…so I don’t visit social media/forums that often.
Regardless, it’s awesome meeting you all and I’m happy to be part of this community.
That’s all for my Intro
Hi !
My name is Sandymoon. I speak french, so it is possible that my english is not very right sometimes.
I’m using Krita for more than 6-7 years, doing a comic on a french website : www.amilova.com
I found out about krita from a tutorial of David Revoy and his comic Pepper and Carrot.
I was curious to see what other people do with krita, and i visited this forum.
I happy to see what everyone is doing !
PS : Sorry for the English
Hello @Sandymoon, and welcome to the forum!
Happy to have you here, so I’m not alone with my bad English.
But jokes away, no fear, your English is very good, and even in case of mistakes or if someone does not understand something we can ask you for clarification, so there is no issue.
I wish you much fun with Krita and in the forum, and a happy new year!
Michelist
Thank you ! Happy new year to you too !
Your comic art is beautiful. Do share some with us here on the forum.
Welcome, @Sandymoon.
Thank you for your welcoming words everyone !
ah…so…hey, Tepese here, a marginal role called TE.
Aspiring to painted “something” what had to painted and becomes an artist, harmless, friendly, weird. From under your beds…all of you…
Krita’s brand-new user, next may share paintings in here. Just be careful, all the languages of this guy are very bad, this “transparent thing” unable to speak, but can using many languages, they are all used through the translator, in short, they are very bad…yea…indeed…
Welcome!
appreciate…(shaking your bed foot…)
heya, i’m neon. i’m not very good at introductions 'cause it’s hard for me to think of things to talk about, but i still feel like making one of these.
i’m a teenager (not revealing my age because privacy) and i’ve been using krita for a few years now. i’m pretty much stuck with it too, because my art style relies heavily on a brush that krita has
currently, my goal is to go to university studying computer engineering, but my goals have changed a lot, so i don’t know if that will last. although it probably will, since i seem to be way more passionate about it this time. anyways, uh, i’m also into retro tech, especially video games, but anything goes.
other than tech, i’m into digital art, obviously, but also some video games (my favourite is celeste!) and language learning/linguistics. it’s just fun, i don’t really have anything else to say here.
uhhhhhh here’s an example of my art if you want it:
uh yeah i’m out of things to say. this community seems nice, i will probably be coming back.
Welcome! You have a bright future ahead of you! Enjoy!
Hi everyone!
I’ve been trying to get into Krita for a couple of months by now. Loved it from the very beginning, but the performance on my Macos system was very poor, despite working on a M1 iMac. Kept experimenting though and by now it seems like I’m getting a hang of it, so I’m eager to fully dive into the Krita world and hopefully it will turn into my main tool. Started painting digitally about two decades ago with Corel Painter (I think it was called Procreate back then - not the new Procreate ) and had to slowly give in to the industry standard over the years. Always kept looking for an alternative while Painter faded into a weird mix of gadgets, rather than tools. I think I’ve tried pretty much every painting software out there by now and I gotta say: Krita is hands down the best! I’m not technically fit at all, but if possible I’d love to contribute by creating custom brushes, or whatever I actually manage to to.
If you’re curious: I’ve been working mainly as a concept and storyboard artist for film & games, but also dipped into stage design, some illustration work and lately actual filmmaking, but this is another story I guess. If you wanna take a look at my stuff, here’s my totally outdated website: http://www.dariocoelho.com
Very much looking forward to explore this community!
Wish you all a great start into 2023!
