Introduce yourself! 🎙️

Welcome, @Tetine and @BFJerky !

Hi everyone,
I’m Tiziana from Italy. I’m a freelance illustrator and in my spare time I work on a personal project called Daimon on Deviantart. I have always used Photoshop for my digital artworks but recently I downloaded Krita and I think it’s an excellent software. I’m here to learn to use it even better. I love the artworks you share guys. They are really amazing!

Hi, I’m Angela from Germany. I use Krita to create embroidery designs. I’ve been working with this programme for a couple of years now, and I love it, love the possiblities it offers, though the manual is rather sparse, it doesn’t provide help in many cases.
I ended up here because I have a problem for which I can’t find a solution anywhere, and krita.org says I should ask my question here first. But now I have to ask to begin with: Why can’t I create my own thread under Support and Advice? In which subforum should I post my question? It’s about a persistent brush lag in 5.1.5.

Hi  I go by Enoki online. I have been drawing since I was a kid, but I also dabble in 3D modeling and writing.

My main interests in art are illustration, character design, and portrait art, though I am currently trying to expand to other skills like animation to share my characters’ stories. I started off with pencil sketches, watercolors, and later transitioned to digital art.

I have fully switched to Krita since last year following a hiccup with Clip Studio Paint—and it’s been a blast. Before that, I occasionally used Krita for school projects. When I found out there’s a community for Krita artists, I knew I had to check it out. The forum has been wonderful and I am happy to be here!

I would love to start my own sketchbook thread and contribute more to the forums when I can someday.

Hello! I’m known as Electraneer.
I found this website due to having an issue with Krita, and I quite like it here!
I use Krita for all my digital art and animation, and have been doing so for 4 years I think? I use it almost daily now. I’m currently in high school and taking a digital media class which has helped me improve as well.
Overall, I think I’ll stick around! Maybe post some art as well.

Hello @Electraneer and welcome to the forum

Please do that, especially your animations because we don’t have many of those on the forum compared to paintings/drawings.

Hi, I’m Liu from China. As a 3D artist, I use Blender at work everyday. I also have a strong interest in 2D drawing. Two years ago, I discovered Krita and decided to switch from Photoshop to it. Now I’m still practicing my 2D skills, aiming to become a “5D artist”.

In China, Blender has attracted more and more users, but for Krita, there’s a long way to go.
I sometimes go to art colleges to teach 3D modeling, and every time I recommend Krita to the students. However, not many of them have heard of it. To my surprise, most of them use SAI, which is even more popular than Photoshop.
Nevertheless, I still believe that this open-source software has great potential, and I’m willing to contribute to the community.

I’ve been using this plugin for a while, it’s really a game changer in my opinion. Gonna make a video about it next time. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I noticed that I have followed you in Zhihu. A few days ago, I discovered that you have made gold donation to krita.
