i was happy to try the new features, but then I did the odd jobs and hit ctrl+alt+i to resize, punched in a pixelvalue, hit enter and nothing? the pixelvalue is selected? but not just accepted?!?!?! What?!?! is this a joke? a bug?

(on 5.3.1 - linux mint - flatpack!)

 Hello @_tt, and welcome back to the forum!

If that should be a joke is a question you must ask the maintainer of your unofficial version of Krita, so namely the maintainer of the Flatpak that you use.

With other words, you should check errors on Linux always against the one and only official version of Krita for Linux first, which is the AppImage from Krita’s homepage! If that issue could also be found in there, then the chance it will be a Krita issue seems likely, and it can possibly be a bug in Krita.
But because the described function/action is an absolutely common action often needed from a lot of users in their everyday work, I’m relatively confident this forum would already drown in reports about such an issue would it be in the official Krita.

This is a link to directly download the AppImage from Krita’s homepage. Do not forget to set it executable vie the right-click preferences of the AppImage, so you can test it: https://download.kde.org/stable/krita/5.3.1/krita-5.3.1-x86_64.AppImage

I’ve just used the 5.3.1 appimage on Linux Mint 21.3 and Ctrl+Alt+I works well to do
Image → Scale Image To New Size.

You need to click the OK button at the bottom of the Scale To New Size window after you’ve changed any of the value fields content.

On Windows 10 with Krita 5.3.1, it actually works perfectly for me the way @_tt described - that is, by pressing the Enter key instead of clicking the OK button to trigger the transformation.

With Linux Mint, it’s as I described for the Enter key and for the Return key for Scale... and for Resize Canvas.
I need to click OK. That is the case for the 5.3.1 and the 5.2.16 appimages.

With Windows 10, the Enter key and the Return key both trigger the Scale... and the Resize action with the 5.3.1 installed version.

I see that the Enter and Return key are both used to trigger the Confirm action in the Canvas Input Settings: Tool Invocation group.

Good to know that there are OS dependent differences in how actions can be performed. Thank you for your investigations.

First off, I had brief run with the new krita, and I think the new features are brillaint! Unfortunately, since updating ubuntu last night i no longer reads my wacom pen - Is anyone running it successfully on ubuntu 26.04?

Alternatively I will have to go back to ubuntu 25.10, just a bit of a hassel to reset the computer, and would also prefer running the LTS version.

I think this maybe the xwayland issue? Touchscreen stylus not working on Gnome 50

Thanks for the link, I think you are right - unfortunately I do not seem able to downgrade to the suggested 24.1.9 on ubuntu 26.04

Huh did ubuntu not ship that specific version? i’m sure they have shipped some other previous version tho

my bad, I mean appimage, I got it from the official page. I just downloaded again and doublechecked and AhabGreybeard confirmed the problem. of course it is way more convenient to just enter the numbers and hit enter instead of switching to the mouse and clicking ok. and I had that same problem with 5.2 as well, thus I didn’t update (or file a bugreport (I thought, as you mentioned, this is used so much, someone WILL file a bugreport and it just works again in 5.3)). But those new features look so nice, I want to use them. but also I do resize a lot of images and this is so annoying. so it is a bug?! the website says to doublecheck with the forum before reporting it.

Is there any way to send bugreports through the forum? Or do I really need yet another account on the kde page?

I tried various things, no luck. No other version seems avaible.
