Cool theme! I’d like to try a cinematic view with a bit of introspection and melancholy for Kiki. Just for the challenge of trying to show a different aspect of the character. I’m hoping I’ll have the time to get it done this month. Here is a thumbnail sketch:

Awesome to see all the ideas and styles. I hope all get their paintings done in time. Showing our progress as we go is very entertaining and inspiring. We should do sidetrack progress updates in every challenge.

Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce you to my messy pre-painting lineart!
Hopefully a centaur is an anthropomorphic enough horse? 
My Kiki is riding Cerea from Monster Musume. I thought they’d fit well together because after all, Kiki is kind of a monster girl too! (and let’s say the restrictions about who can ride a centaur don’t apply to cyber squirrels).

I gave up sketching, erasing, sketching, etc. etc. Just jumped into color, having no idea what I want this to end up looking like. So I’m ad-libbing as I go, and getting carried away with all kinds of imaginary doo-dads… but wth… I’m enjoying doing it! LOL

I also started coloring. I spent a part of the evening on beta testing 5.2 (everything went smooth), enjoying finally playing with the Lambert blending mode and layer info decoration. Kiki got a new pad to draw while riding in the process

The mouth of your horse looks real/organic, its head seems to be simply in a helmet while the rest of its body looks more robotic… Robocop horse? <insert Basil Poledouris’ Robocop theme here!>
