Thanks for the idea! I was going to add some flowers. So, adding in some flower shaped clouds would fit well with my original idea.

Bonus idea @Instant_Poodles : I think you should also recenter your drawing a tiny bit, the horse head is too close to the left end while there’s such a big gap on the right… Whatever you planned to add in the background in this empty space, it shouldn’t push the main subject of the image so much off-center… :wink: (I would also make the horse head a bit bigger).

Ok so the submission im working on dosent have Kiki riding the horse. Im assuming it will not qualify. Can someone let me know if im correct? I posted a WIP for reference. Thanks.

I’m not sure if I am qualified to answer the question, but the prompt was for Kiki to be riding a horse. So, I’m assuming that your artwork wouldn’t work.

RIP WIP… :sweat_smile: (sorry, I can never resist a juicy pun!)
Actually… I think you can still salvage it: if you widen the view (either by taking a bigger canvas or by reducing your current drawing) you can still put that Kiki on the back of a mechanical horse with a telescopic neck that would allow its head to come back to Kiki like that… :wink:

I assumed it was off to the side because on your previous WIP there were some lovely looking flowers and shapes flowing behind coming out of the stylus, I think it will look lovely. So if that’s still happening I see why the main character is not in the center, and that’s totally fine. :slight_smile: :purple_heart:

@Instant_Poodles I didn’t mean the main character must be centered of course, maybe I misspoke somehow. What I meant is the head of the horse, which is quite an important element, is very (too) close to the edge of the canvas, even if some space should indeed be saved for the flowers etc. :sweat_smile:

Oh no need worry! I didn’t misunderstand and I do agree that the horse’s head does needs a little more room. But of course, I will still leave room for the flowers and everything else I had planned! :smile:

Thanks, you are completely right, I am also not liking the shading, I was trying to make a retro sci fi look but Im not happy, I think I still have time to make a new version more retro manga style were the normal colors of Kiki will make more sence.
