Oh, great topic @Brinck. This one will be kind of difficult to me, but I’ll give a try

oooh this looks fun! I think I’m going to give it a try

This is proving difficult  but a first attempt was made :grimacing:
(It was made without malice in mind, for some reason SciFi reminds me of antennas and tentacles, but maybe it wasn’t a good choice )

I feel like this month we’re gonna wonder a lot what we’re looking at! I mean, in a way non-related to the quality of the painting, of course (the best way). Hopefully you guys will give us some insights about whatever alien anatomical part or fantasy device you’re presenting us with… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Mine feels rather plain compared to everybody else’s so far. Not sure how I will single layer it but I will figure it out. If I decide to add an animal’s (clean) skull would that be considered against the rules somehow?

I think I’m gonna try the absurd side

I’ve moved on to colouring. I’ve found laying base colours in by layers in the composition sense really helps to keep everything organized, going from furthest back to the front

This is so much fun

Would that I could do the optional challenge, but sadly my poor computer is just not up for that. If I barley swipe across the screen, Krita picks up a straight line at 100% opacity, or several, and adds them to the image. Not sure why that happens, but without undo/erase/layers it’d be hopeless to try and actually draw anything. For example, here is one that’s not so bad because the brush was tiny at the time:

Here’s a first idea… a red-brown rose sitting on a window sill in a city that’s in a big creator. Ya, I’ll need to shorten that name.

Here’s where I’m at today, still a long way to go…

An ai built image and a youtube video demo for a blooming flower animation in Blender.

I need to think more out of the box haha, since my attempt seemed a little confusing

Hey everyone! I’ve got good news!

I decided to invest in a time-machine to help me with my problems finishing contest entries!

I’ve just given it a test run with this one and it seems to be working well. So, I travelled back four years and did this: Experimental Still Life 2: The Revenge! 😡

Obviously the entry thread didn’t exist back then (or the monthly contests for that matter), so I had to post it in the artwork section. I mean - I could have waited, but then how would I prove that I had a time-machine?!! :man_shrugging:

Well… that’s me done I guess! Good luck with the rest of the month everyone!

Hey @Mythmaker ! I’m sorry but I have bad news for you… On my side I invested in a crystal ball and it told me that your time-machine is highly unstable and will break very soon… You won’t be able to pull that trick next month! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

A bit more than a doodle… Portrait with Flower:
Made with a ton of laso/selection boxes to keep the brush’s bleed contained.
I’m still not happy with the table… not sure how I’m going to fix it yet. At least I know it will just be painted over.

I might just crop the table…
