Nominate your favourite artwork here SEE UPDATED HOW-TO June/July 2026

Best of Krita-Artists

This is where members nominate their favourite artwork followed by a poll to determine which ones will land on the forum’s featured artwork banner.

How it works

Krita-Artists members can make up to five submissions in each monthly nominations thread.

This nominations thread will be open for submissions until 2026-07-11T18:00:00Z.

Everyone is welcome to vote when the poll is published. The five images receiving the most votes will be inducted into the featured artwork row. Winning images will also be automatically entered into the Best of Krita-Artists 2026 competition at the end of the year.

What is Best of Krita-Artists – 2026?

In January 2027, we will publish a poll containing all the winning entries from the previous year. K-A member voting will determine the top ten and these finalists will be awarded a “Best of Krita-Artists – 2026” badge.

In case you missed it, here are the results from last years’ winning entries: Best of K-A 2025

:star: UPDATED: How to Submit Nominations :new_button:

  1. Open two tabs in your browser; one for the nominations thread and one for the artist’s post.

  2. Tap ‘reply’ in this thread to start a new comment. In this new comment, tag the artist by typing their @ name.

  3. Navigate to the artist’s post to copy the post’s URL. Keep the artist’s post open while you return to the nominations thread and paste that URL you just copied.

  4. Return to the artist’s post, right click on the image to copy the image link. DO NOT COPY/PASTE THE IMAGE ITSELF. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE IMAGE AND UPLOAD IT TO THIS THREAD.

  5. Return to your comment in the nominations thread and type these markdown characters on a line with nothing else. ![]()

  6. Paste the image link between the two parentheses: (http… etc goes inside like this text)

  7. Tap the reply button to finalize the nomination.

Troubleshooting

If the image does not appear, it’s usually due to:

a) the markdown characters are missing

b) the markdown line containing the image link is not on a line all by itself

c) your browser may have inserted backslash characters into the markdown code. Delete the extra characters to make the image appear.

Nomination Guidelines

  • Forum members may make up to five nominations per month.

  • You may not nominate your own work.

  • All artwork published in the [Artwork:Finished Artwork]( Finished Artworks - Krita Artists ) category is eligible. The only exception is artwork that has already been featured (look for the “featured” tag next to the post title).

The featured artwork nomination process is brought to you by Krita-Artists’ Admins and Moderators. We welcome feedback and suggestions. To submit feedback, please [click here](https://krita-artists.org/t/feedback-thread-for-the-featuring-process/ and add your thoughts.

@RaitzInk’s Time to patrol blows me away. I especially love the loose way the horse is painted. Yum.
