Rotating light brushtips WIP

Thoses brushes blend colours, since you keep your pen pressed the brush will keep blending after the moment it add paint. You just have to pass on your own line again.
So yes I did this picture with only this bundle.

How can I have this wet alpha blending mode? Is it a combination of multiple blend modes or is it a mode by itself? It’s not in the list.

You have to install a separate/unique version of Krita. Wet Alpha - new blending mode - #19 by dkazakov (post prior has the windows version)

I already use the Steam version. I hope that’ll become an official thing soon in the new updates.

Here is my first try to make use of these brushes. They are great indeed. But it will need some getting used to. A monster (from imagination).

These brushes worked for a while but randomly stopped. I end up with errors for each brush that look like this

libpng warning: iTXt: chunk data is too large
libpng warning: iTXt: truncated
Could not load the resource from the bundle ā€œpaintoppresetsā€ ā€œpaintoppresets/memileo 360light Knife smooth B Loaded.kppā€ ā€œ/home/pancakes/.local/share/krita/memileo_360light_05.bundleā€

This is Krita 5.2 from the Arch repo

Try using the official appimage instead of your repo version.

they work but there is huge lag at the end of a stroke, and the appimage has such worse ui/ux that I’m never gonna use it.

It does not work for me. I import them and nothing shows. Krita 5.2.1 on Linux with the distro provided version. I don’t want to use appimage because it will be the only program I use with it, also everything else works…
I notice that the file sizes (.kpp) are very large, is it possible that this creates the issue? Why are they so large anyway? Every other brush I have is kilobytes, but these are an average of 10 megs…?

EDIT: out of the 3 bundles I downloaded there are 3 working brushes:
memileo 360light brushslice 4-dab2 dulling
memileo 360light brushslice 4-dab smeary
memileo 360light brushslice 4-dab2

It is recommended to use the appimage, flatpak or snap since the Krita provided by the distributions lack some dependencies and/or patches.

The brushes contain embedded brushtips and patterns which are quite large. libpng sometimes has a limitation on the size of this embedded data (.kpp files are .png files), which is the cause of the libpng warning: iTXt: chunk data is too large message.

Thank you @emilm for these wonderful brushes, been enjoying them a lot. It also gave me some inspiration to try learning the art of brush-making. I have been playing around with your 40 degrees Brush Template and been creating a few brushes from the scratch. I like the very much textured look of these brushes so I tried to do a few smeary and one impasto brush that would perform rather well even on lower-end systems (I am on Android myself so it’s an important aspect for me I don’t mind a bit of a lag on my end though, so, these may have a some lag on varying systems).

Since you named these WIP, I wonder what your future ideas about this brush project is. Are you trying to replicate real-life textures by referencing them or are there any other considerations and methods for these? As I mentioned, I have been trying to create a few of my own but I don’t have much traditional experience, so, I am not sure what sort of a variation of tools I might try to replicate and/or aim for.

I am also sharing the very small set of brushes I made within this post as a google drive link (These are still very early process brushes for me, hence I am hesitant towards creating a new topic regarding that, I can create one if it would be necessary though). For anyone that sees my reply here, feel free to check these out and I would very much appreciate any feedback on these 4 brushes as well.
