Well, having such a docker in Krita would allow us to directly check for the shape of the brush stroke, without pressing F5, I guess.
Different needs, I see the 3D thing well, personally sometimes I help myself with a model in blender.
Some nice to haves from csp IMO are:
timelapse preview
brush size presets (they also have hotkey increase or decrease within those brush size presets) [which reminds me! i’ve been using Chalk Grainy for work and I need to use a certain brush size which is 3px. Which is a size thats really awkward to go through. For example I’m at 5px brush size, when I decrease using the hotkey it goes ( 5px, 4px, then 2px) it skips 3 for some reason. Then I’d have to increase with the hotkey to get to 3px.) This kind of weird since when I use other brushes like Basic-1 it brush size doesn’t skip 3px. (5px, 4px, 3px, 2px.) Would be nice if it was consistent with all brush types or there’s a docker where i can add brush size presets and theres also hotkeys for such brush size presets.

a reset display function . It resets canvas rotation, canvas zoom and the canvas mirroring (i tend to flip the canvas horizontally while drawing/painting) all in one hotkey. In krita at the moment I have hotkeys set to reset each rotation, zoom and mirroring.
Krita is already great as it is right now, I found many ways to make things much more at home, but these added into Krita would be awesome!
2 resets size
5 resets rotation

As @klarendawn states, Reset Display resets zoom, rotation, and mirror mode all in one key, and would prefer to not have to use separate keys for each function.
Time to install GMIC!
I shouldn’t post when I have a fever!

I’ve submitted a merge request so that this action should hopefully be available with 5.2. To clarify: this action would set rotation to 0 degrees, turn off mirroring, and fit the canvas to view.
awesome!! Thank you!
First off, Yay for Krita and all the devs.
Here are a few things; one’s rather simple (I hope), the other is freak’n wizzkid stuff, but I’ll ask anyway.
Vector brushes that match raster brushes… so amazing
Faster and less laggy? I want to switch to Krita from Clip as a main weapon, because ’ Freedom’
but often I find it chuggs, so I guiltily creep back to the commercial solution.
For your first question, you mean the Quick Settings Docker.
Michelist
@Chool for the brush size, there is a python plug-in (pre-installed i think) that can be activated in the settings. It add a new docker to the list.
Has anything like this been implemented yet in a docker format as either a plugin or in the core program? This is exactly the thing that will get me to switch to Krita full time.
I need a docker that has specific brush config settings in it, on a per-brush basis. SAI and CSP have this ability. Sometimes I want to tweak something quickly, but in Krita having to bring up the brush settings, dig around until I find what I’m looking for, change the setting, then close it every time takes more time than should be necessary. I learned how to draw digitally with just a basic round brush, changing settings as I go, so Krita’s meta of having everything as a preset brush is not an insignificant adjustment. Something like this might have the added benefit of making Krita easier to pick up for users coming from other programs, in addition to giving Krita a tool comparable to already industry standard painting programs.
When I switched from using poster paints at school to pastels and watercolours and finally to acrylics and digital, each step of the way I learned the advantages and disadvantages of the medium. I didn’t at any point expect or wish for the medium to imitate the media I was used to. If we had all the CSP users, Photoshop users, Gimp users and users of all other graphics software getting what they want in Krita, it would be so bloated, it would be virtually unusable. Krita is Krita. I am all for individual feature requests, but not because CSP works like that or Photoshop works like that or Gimp works like that or “industry standard painting programs” work like that. I migrated to Krita from Gimp and learned to use Krita because that is the way Krita is. I never wanted to compare it to Gimp
@croc, the thing you ask for is not implemented in Krita, but perhaps you can make use of the plugin Compact Brush Toggler, which offers to switch some functions on and off directly in Krita not in the brush editor?
Michelist
Genuinely? Just two things:
You have 2 presets in krita.
You can switch between both of them by defining a keyboard shortcut.
Search for toggle eraser preset.
Each preset can hold its own tool. So it is also possible to switch between brush and selection tool for example. But the most usecase is to have 2 brushes with kne beeing the line brush and the other one beeing the eraser.
I’m aware, the thing is that I can’t give them the same shortcut (for example) to quickly swap between the two no mattering what tool I’m currently using, that’s the thing
It is not build in, but what about Ten brush slots plugin it should be possible to workaround your problems with that
