Hey y’all, I’ve been using Krita for a pixel art project but am struggling a little with the pixel art brush. I’m makng a lot of use of the bezier curve and line tools, but I need it to be “connected” during diagonals
This is more or less what I’m getting…

Is there a brush that does this, and if not, how could I go about making one?

We have a few specialized brush bundles and the ultimate pixel art tool ever which is a paid plugin, but if you are really deep in pixel art, then these will be the best spend five bucks of your career as an artist. For brush making look at the end of my post.

If you want to create brushes yourself for pixel art, then use the Grid brush engine for your first experiments. To get the best information available for creating brushes using Krita there is this tutorial series, and you won’t find anything more comprehensible than this currently. →

Oh this is really really cool! Ty. I’m unsure if it has what I need but this is admittedly a niche usecase, so this is probably about the best I can get. Much appreciated!
The latest version of Krita (5.3.0) added a feature where there’s a brush smoothing feature called “Pixel”, it will effectively be a pixel perfect brush when used at 1px size. For example with a 1px brush (Pixel Art in Pixel Art tag):
