The first problem is that icons are not prepared for all functions, and for some they are completely repeated. this makes it impossible to add these functions to the toolbar, and also does not allow you to make the interface panels more compact. if I knew how to implement them, I would gladly do it and share it with everyone, but alas. the second problem is more related to functionality. It’s no secret that krita is creeping up on its main competitors in the face of Photoshop and clip studio with small steps. If the first one is a program for designers for most of my friends, then the second one is a greater threat. The point is to add as many pieces as possible for manga artists. for example, in krita, the ability to overlay screenshots is very far behind the clip studio, where you can turn a layer into a screentone with one click, and then adjust it with a cavity. it is also useful to turn the layer fillings into a blue fill, which is convenient for tracing the outline. do not judge strictly for the grammar, as I am writing this through a translator. Thank you for the wonderful program.
Development for manga focused features are already being discussed and piece by piece for possible implementation.
Progress and development are mostly updated by @tiar on the respective discussion threads.
you can participate in those in discussions in the following thread;
Comic Panel Tools - Feature Request by Tiar (developer)]
[Comic Work flow discussion] - (Comic workflow - general ideas and feature requests (including long webcomics!)) also being monitored by one of the official devs]
One of our pain points for example is the text tool which is now also being worked on after a painful overhaul.
Feel free to drop by those threads and add your piece and suggestion.
Due note that this is big project being undertaken and considered but that thread is monitored by an official dev interested in implementing it.
Can you list exact functions and/or operations that you are lacking in the toolbar?
