Thank you so much to @CrazyCatBird for the advice and help, How I do Vector in Krita the tutorial is very easy to understand and follow.
even though in practice I'm having trouble with Select Shapes Tool and haven’t found a solution yet (maybe I have to re-install my krita app to get back to normal, who knows?)after re-installing the result is still the same .
but… yes, this is a valuable lesson for me to . . . finish my WIP , and this is my first vector work in Krita:
I really love the way you used vector to create the scene. I’m still learning how to use that tool – I was inspired by @CrazyCatBird’s vector rose. Have you seen it?
The strawberries immediately caught my eye, I have a strawberry allergy!
Therefore, I am extremely vigilant at all times not to accidentally come into contact with them.
I’m back to using vector layers, and it’s still difficult because there is no color picker option/button for stroke or fill in the tool options. Because for me, it’s faster to use the color picker on a pre-made object than to look for colors in a row of color palettes (I’m too lazy to remember where they are).
These are the parts that I will compile for the second entry of this month’s art challenge. Actually, there are still many things I haven’t made yet but I think it will be easier to make them later along with compiling these parts.
There is a colour picker function for vector objects for stroke and fill but it’s clumsy compared to the Ctrl+click operation of the usual colour picker for paint layers.
When a vector object is selected, it’s Fill can be set by using the FG Select a Colour window colour picker and the Stroke by the BG colour selection, by selecting a colour from somewhere else on the canvas.
If you want to select a colour from another vector object you use Shift+click.
Also, the Select a Colour window is quite large and often has to be dragged out of the way to see the location you want to pick a colour from. As I said, it’s clumsy.
There may be other or better ways that I’ve missed.
You ought to create a Feature Request topic for this. My idea would be a colour picker icon in the Tool Options docker in the same way that the FG/BG Select a Colour window has a colour picker icon.
I agree with you,
I’ve also tried to find out from the krita documentation, and some youtube tutorials about vectors in krita because the absence of a color picker dedicated specifically to vector layers makes it look like something is missing.
Thank you, I will create a new topic in feature request soon
I like to draw abstracts as a liberation of the mind from any understanding be it learned theories, distracting thoughts, and inexplicable nagging things. And after completing this abstract work I can feel a sense of relief.
I sketched this piece on the raster layer, and then created the shape on the vector layer. I didn’t group any of them and gathered them into 2 vector layers (one normal mode, the other hard light blending mode).
Don’t ask me what the nodes or shapes look like, it’s very messy.
