Vector Layers: fill with pattern and even/odd fill rule

Hi

I’m current updating the Vector Layers documentation, it was a bit outdated.

So outdated that screenshot for Stroke and Fill looks like this:

The thing is, reading this old documentation, it seems some functionalities doesn’t exists anymore:

  • Fill with pattern
  • Fill rule (even/odd direction)

Does these functionalities have been removed or it’s just I’m not able to find where they’re now? :thinking:

Note: when creating a closed shape (rectangle, circle, polygon) the pattern option is available with pattern transform (scale, rotation) but finally shape is created with empty fill…

No, you’re not alone, I think it’s been removed. This was recently a topic in another topic, but I can’t remember which one, nor find it.

Fill with pattern was not removed (the drop down’s still there too), it’s just bugged and was even buggy in the previous version were it did work but the option in the tool options docker was simply missing (for shape selection tool). It is supposed to work but stopped somewhere around 5.1.

So we basically have two bugs at once.
