Hi!

Last year, I started drawing again after a very long break from it, and I’ve been having a lot of fun – and in the course of that, I started working with Krita a lot and learned so much about it to the point where I’m just a big fan. I used to jump between programs while making art for whatever it was best at, but by now I’m using krita for pretty much the entire process, and so I figured it made sense for me to take a look around the forums too.

I spend most of my time writing stories and got inspired to pick art up again because I wanted to create my own covers and make illustrations of my characters, and being able to do that just makes me very happy.
I want to keep learning a lot to hopefully get better at art and perhaps one day be able to give back to this community that made a lot of my drawings possible.

See you around c:

Hello @Finn28 and welcome to the forum

It has well written documentation as well:
User Manual — Krita Manual 5.2.0 documentation

Hi everyone!
I’m a graphic designer designer at day, hobbyist comic artist at night. I’m too fed up with Adobe’s policies to keep using their stuff for my personal work, so here I am. I hope to get used to Krita soon!
I have some trouble with importing SVGs in the libraries, which I hope to get to ask about soon. Making my own speech bubbles is important!

 Hello @Umbrellafighter, and welcome to the forum!

I hope that you will find what you are looking for, and maybe the following could be a starting point for you:

Speech bubbles in Krita have occasionally been a topic here in the forum.
The easiest way to do this will probably be to use Inkscape. I think the topics mentioned below could be a start, an introduction to the topic of symbol libraries, you will be able to discover more information with the forum search accessible via the magnifying glass symbol at the top right of the forum pages. There are now also (a few) symbol libraries with speech bubbles for use in Krita, to be found in the resources section of the forum, there is also a plugin that can be a good help with simple speech bubbles, Rogudator’s Speech Bubble Generator, another plugin, New Inkscape 1.3 plugin: Ink Sync, which is supposed to couple Krita with Inkscape and be a help with text, but I don’t know anything about its capabilities, there is also:

For further questions on the topic, it is best to create your own topics in the support area (for me: “The green sector”) found on the homepage of the forum.

Wow, your answer is so extensive! Thank you so much!!!
I haven’t yet tried all of what you’ve said, which I will, but I’ve imported the bubbles you suggested and it’s already a good step up.
I’m loving this community already!

I’d swear I had an account here, but since I can’t find the alias or mail I used, here I am again.

I intend to use Krita for pixel art, mostly. You can check the pixels I used to make using my android phone here on Mastodon
But now that a friend has lent me a Cintiq, I think it’s time to start using real software amd attempt to improve my style :slightly_smiling_face:

Good morning, I hope I have chosen the right category to introduce myself.
I have always been very attracted to painting and drawing, until recently I published my illustrations on various sites (such as Deviant Art or Work Station) but some time ago I stopped and only recently I decided to take up the graphics tablet again. I decided to download and try Krita, I’m still at the beginning but I hope to get some appreciable results soon. Thank you all
